Introducing our latest project for testing: the ldrboard Admin Panel. This powerful tool is designed to help you create public leaderboards and view stats for your games with ease. Let's dive right into how you can make the most out of it!
Start here at: admin.ldrboard.com
Navigate to the top left corner of the panel.
Select the dropdown menu and click on "Create New Game"
Fill in your game information and assign your public endpoint name.
And just like that you have a new live public ldrboard!
*Please note that it is currently required to email [email protected] for your new gameId and new api key. These will be available in the panel very soon.
*The Code Generated by the generator is still experimental, but should get you 90% of the way there. Expect to have to make a few edits to get working.
Make sure to note your code generation settings as you configure them. Unfortunately, these settings are not currently saved. So, keep a record of them for future reference.
For favicons images and custom images where templates allow, we currently only accept public image urls. You can use resources like imgur.com or google drive to turn media into urls. Just be sure that your link is public and opens the media directly, not a webpage.
You have the flexibility to style your leaderboard with additional CSS. As a heads up:
Ensure you use the !important flag in your CSS rules to override default styles. *This mostly works, however some element styles may remain immutable depending on the preselected template.
To find the right tag/ID/class names for your elements, use the Inspect Element tool in your browser. We recommend using Chrome for this.
If you are new to CSS, we recommend w3schools for a quick tutorial.
On the Stats Page, each line in each line chart that you see corresponds to a player. This makes it easy to track individual player stats at a glance.
As the admin panel is still a work in progress, you might notice some features that are grayed out or disabled. These are features that are actively being worked on and will be available soon. Stay tuned!
As this is a sandbox release, we recognize that there may be a few rough patches. If something does not work as expected, first try again, then refresh the page, and lastly log out and log back in.
